JR Kyushu Expects Daily Traffic of 100,000 to JR Hakata City


Yoshifumi Baba, one of the directors of JR Kyushu, spoke at a meeting in Fukuoka City on the 28th on the subject of the new main building of the JR Hakata Station, to be known as JR Hakata City. Baba said that JR Kyushu expects that daily traffic through the building will be 100,000 people. He also insisted that the Tenjin commercial district will remain important even after the new building opens, and added that he hoped they could work together to formulate business strategies.
