Kyushu Financial Group Signs Agreement with MOE

Two of Kyushu Financial Group’s subsidiaries (Higo Bank, Ltd. and Kagoshima Bank) signed an agreement called the National Park Official Partnership with the Ministry of the Environment. The agreement aims to increase tourism at the Aso Kuju and Kirishima-Yaku National Parks. Work will be carried out to revitalize the surrounding areas and attract more visitors from overseas. The financial institutions will cooperate with local businesses, such as Kumamoto DMC, to help develop tourist-related services. The public-private partnership will last until the end of 2020.
