Kyushu Promotional Logo Announced

The Kyushu Regional Strategy Council has joined forces with local businesses and the Kyushu Governors’ Association to create a logo for promotion of the area. The seven prefectures of Kyushu met with representatives of Okinawa and Yamaguchi in Saga City on May 23 to announce that the region will be using a unified emblem for publicity purposes. The various prefectures will use the logo, which fuses together the two Chinese characters used to write Kyushu, to promote tourism, agriculture, forestry and fisheries. Fukuoka Prefecture will be in charge of planning the production of the logo. Governor Hiroshi Ogawa stated his desire to see the symbol help in sharing the charm, vitality, and sense of unity that exists within Kyushu with many people. Source: Sankei Shimbun, 5/23/2018
