On January 24, Meiji Sangyo announced that they will use an automated answering machine utilizing artificial intelligence in their customer service center. The Fukuoka-based LP gas supplier and real estate management company revealed that the new system, which is known as the AI Concierge, will begin operating from February 2. The president of Meiji Sangyo noted that the move will reduce costs as well as provide telephone-based support 24 hours a day. This service was developed in collaboration with U-Next marketing and represents the first time that the company’s AI service will be used outside of the Tokyo metropolitan area.
