The Minamiaso Railroad in Kumamoto Prefecture conducted a three-day trial with roughly 185 passengers of a dual mode vehicle, which both rides on tracks like a train and on the street like a bus. After traveling the rails between Takamori and Nakamatsu, the vehicle then took to the highway for a visit to local tourism sites. It was the first such trial conducted in Kyushu.
