Multilingual Support Center Opens in Beppu

Beppu City is planning to provide a new multilingual support line that will operate in times of emergency. Learning from the Kumamoto and Oita earthquakes, the center will provide disaster information and information on shelters in 10 languages. There are around 4,200 foreigners living in Beppu City and 430,000 tourists visit every year. The center will be located in City Hall and can be reached at 0977-21-6133.
