It was announced on February 20 that Korea Express Air will launch a new flight between Kitakyushu City and Yangyang County. Since December 2016, the company has operated charter flights for groups travelling between the two locations. However, the airline will operate three round trips per week from May 13 this year. The planes used for the new route will have a 50-passenger capacity. Yangyang County is located in the northeast of Gangwon Province and is a 40 minute drive from Pyeongchang, the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympics. Source: Sankei West, 2/20/2018
