Nishitetsu Trains: The Easiest Way to Jojima Sake Festival & Brewery Hopping

Located in Chikugo, Jojima is one of the nation’s best-known sake producing areas in Kyushu. The annual opening to the public of the local sake breweries is one of the biggest events of its kind in western Japan. Enjoy a variety of attractions at the main venue including dozens of food booths, stage performances, stand-up sake bar and a taiko drum performance. Be sure to also visit some or all of the seven participating breweries on foot or on the free shuttle bus rides. To get to the main venue, we suggest you buy the special round-trip Jojima Sakagurabiraki Kinen Ticket at the ticket counters of any Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line stations. This special ticket will take you to Mizuma Station (50 minutes from Tenjin Station) where you can take a free shuttle bus to the main venue. The special ticket also includes a ¥100 coupon for the sake tasting!
