Full-scale production of autos with clean diesel engines will begin at Nissan Kyushu’s plant in July, company sources report. The engines will be mounted in the company’s X-Trail SUV for the domestic market. The clean diesel has a significantly lower emission level, and the company is promoting the product to expand the range of customer choice for eco-cars. It is the first time a Japanese automaker will produce cars with these engines for the mass market.
