A national survey of men and women aged 20-60 of their feelings for their home regions by Recruit found that Okinawans had the strongest positive feelings for their prefecture in the country. Fukuoka Prefecture was in fourth place, while Kagoshima Prefecture was in sixth place. Fukuoka Prefecture led the nation in attachment to their local dialect, and Nagasaki Prefecture led in the respect for tradition.
