Seven Santa Taxis Roam Fukuoka Until Dec. 25

While Santa won’t be arriving in person until Christmas Eve, some of his helpers have taken to the streets of Fukuoka to launch a special Christmas taxi service. You’ll be able to find Santa taxis driving around the center of Fukuoka until Dec. 25. There are seven taxis with Christmas artwork on the side and all are driven by drivers dressed as Santa. The service was launched at a ceremony at Kushida Jinja Shrine, where participants prayed for safety while driving. Each taxi has a lucky Hakata Santa doll under the bonnet. A limited number of customers will receive special Christmas special presents. Source: Daiichi Kotsu Sangyo, Nov. 30, 2016
