On Jan. 26, the SoftBank Hawks announced that their slogan for the upcoming season will be… drum role! “Atsuo” (literally ‘hot men’) – the same as last year’s slogan. SoftBank manager Kimiyasu Kudo said that, despite considering over 50 options, “nothing surpassed ‘Atsuo’”. He believes that it is important his team remains “熱い” (fired up), since the team must fight to maintain their winning streak and meet the expectations of their fans.
