The Japan Meteorological Association released its Japanese cedar pollen forecasts for next spring. Pollen dispersal in Kyushu is expected to begin in early to mid-February and gradually increase, and the average pollen count will be about the same as usual. The pollen counts by prefecture are as follows Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto and Kagoshima: Slightly high; Miyazaki: Normal; Saga: Slightly low; Fukuoka: Low. Compared to the spring of 2013, when pollen counts across the nation were high, Miyazaki’s pollen counts will be higher, Kagoshima’s will be slightly higher, Nagasaki and Kumamoto’s will be normal and Fukuoka, Saga and Oita’s will be lower.
