Starflyer to Offer Flights to Taipei

Kitakyushu-based airline Starflyer announced it will begin service to Taipei in October 2018. It will offer daily round-trip service from Kitakyushu, Fukuoka and Nagoya airports. In Starflyer’s first foray outside of Japan, it began offering flights to Busan, Korea, but saw its performance decline after adding more flights. Taking a lesson from this experience, it has decided to enter Taipei after carefully examining a range of factors including foreign visitor trends and the number of available slots at airports, and focusing primarily on airports with 24-hours service. The move to expand overseas flights will coincide with Kitakyushu Airport’s first major renovation scheduled for October 2018. Source: fiba.jp
