Fukuoka Prefecture revealed its Laspeyres Index, a figure to compare salary standards for each municipality as of April 2018. The index shows the normalized average of salaries for administrative staff employed as national public servants. Amongst the prefecture’s 60 cities and towns, 20 (two less than the previous year) exceeded the national standard with scores of 100 or above. The average score of cities in Fukuoka Prefecture was 99.4, which was slightly higher than the national average.
