The Bank of Fukuoka Enters into Agreement with Four Overseas Banks

The Bank of Fukuoka has announced that they have entered into working agreements with four overseas banks. The business partnerships will see the Bank of Fukuoka, Banco de Oro (Philippines), CIMB (Indonesia), the Bank of East Asia (Hong Kong), and the Bank of the West (United States) offer support to each other’s customers. The Bank of Fukuoka has taken these measures in response to the number of their client companies (approximately 500) that are looking to further expand overseas. The agreements were concluded from March to June this year. Each bank is expected to be able to deal with enquiries in Japanese and provide information to help companies looking to develop in local areas. The Bank of Fukuoka has now formed business partnerships with 11 overseas financial institutions. Source: Nikkei Shimbun, 6/19/2018
