Three department stores in Fukuoka City’s Tenjin district have reached agreement with the Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) for different cooperative arrangements. Iwataya-Mitsukoshi, which operates the Iwataya and Fukuoka Mitsukoshi department stores, will begin a service on January 2 in which purchases made using their MI card at commercial facilities operated by Nishitetsu will result in double the normal amount of bonus points received. Meanwhile, the Hakata Daimaru department store began sales of the Grand Bus 65 pass, in which people 65 years of age or older can have unlimited rides on any Nishitetsu route bus, and ride the company’s long-distance buses for half price.
