Farm

Somewhere between Keyaki-dori and Kegohon-dori, there stands a large country-style A-frame structure that seems a bit out of place amidst its urban surroundings. This is “Shokurakukobo Shizenshokuhin no Mise – Farm,” normally, and thankfully, simply referred to as “Farm.” The first floor could be described as a supermarket for the health-conscious. A wide but carefully chosen selection of foods, both fresh and packaged, along with “healthy” household goods and sundries are on display. Organic grain breads are baked on the spot. Japanese home-style okazu (small dishes), all made from quality and farm fresh produce are also available. Much of the produce is from Kumamoto Prefecture, especially the Ubuyama district. On the second floor, simple meals made entirely from the produce offered on the first floor are served for lunch. The daily lunch, ¥1,000, includes four okazu, brown rice, their signature 100% black sesame tofu, a large bowl of a very hearty miso-shiru, and side dishes of hijiki and kinpira or similar. For an extra ¥300, an order of fish is offered. Pure, healthy home-style Japanese food at fair prices! An ideal place to pick up top quality healthy products and produce, or a nutritious lunch. Purchases over ¥3,000 can be delivered to locations within central Fukuoka for free!
