Takatori Souke in Asakura District, Fukuoka Pref. has over 400 years of history creating chato (ceramic bowls) which are used in tea ceremonies, kobachi (small bowls) and yunomi (tea cups). The ceramic glazing process has been handed down in secret and to this day Takatori ceramics are admired by many tea masters in Japan. About 100 items will be exhibited and for sale. You can paint (etsuke) your own yunomi cup which will then be delivered to your house after it has been fired.
