& Sake Fukuoka – New Sake & Food Event In Fukuoka

A food and drink event called “& Sake Fukuoka” will take place this May with the support of several brewery associations and the prefectural government. The two-day festival will be held at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center, and promises to bring together some of the best local sake and shochu. A total of 55 breweries and 30 restaurants are scheduled to participate at the event, which until now has been known as the Fukusake Matsuri. Visitors will be able to sample a range of alcoholic beverages including sake, shochu, umeshu, and amazake. Dishes from Chinese restaurant Fuxinlou, Mizutaki specialist Toriden, and fine French food eatery La Maison de la Nature Goh are just a few of the restaurants that will appear. Organizers hope this event will attract upwards of 10,000 persons and become one of the top three annual sake events in all of Japan and welcome visitors from overseas to attend as well.
