Four Fukuoka department stores start “Premium Friday”

On Feb. 24 (Fri.) the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will launch its new “Premium Friday” initiative in collaboration with members of the private sector. The initiative aims to encourage employees to leave their offices by 15:00 on the last Friday of every month. In Fukuoka City, four department stores (Iwataya, Daimaru, Hakata Hankyu and Mitsukoshi) have announced they will take part in the initiative, hosting events such as wine tastings during the Friday afternoon.
