Chun Shui Tang Taiwanese Cafe Opens in Fukuoka

This morning Fukuoka Now attended a pre-opening event for Chun Shui Tang, the famous tea cafe from Taiwan inside Tenjin Chikagai. The cafe is said to have been the inventor of “bubble tea” (tapioca milk tea). All tea, tapioca and syrup is free of additives and artificial flavorings. The Fukuoka cafe is the company’s sixth shop in Japan and follows openings in Tokyo and Yokohama. In addition to over 30 varieties of tea, customers can enjoy a variety of Taiwanese noodle dishes. We tried the mentai noodles – a cold noodle dish with a soybean and Fukuya mentaiko (cod roe) sauce. It was delicious! Most of the beverages and desserts are available for take-out. Tapioca Milk Tea is just ¥500. English menus are available. The cafe seats 36 and takeaway is available. It can be found in Tenjin Chikagai and is open between 10:00 and 20:00.
