Don Quijote to Open on Site of Tsutaya Tenjin

Discount store Don Quijote is set to open at the site of Tsutaya Tenjin in Imaizumi on April 2018. The bookstore is set to close its doors on June 30 and relocate to the site of Kyushu University’s former Ropponmatsu campus. Developers hope that the new facility will meet the shopping demands of inbound tourism. Don Quijote has reached an agreement to lease the building until March 2038. The new development joins their existing 364 stores (including 14 overseas). There are currently 27 based in Kyushu and 12 in Fukuoka. Source: JC.net, 6/7/2017
