In Italy, his family operates a fashion business, so despite an eduction in ceramics and art, it’s no big surprise to see Claudio running his own shop here inside Fukuoka’s most prestigious fashion complex, Eeny Meeny Miny Mo. His boutique, modaMania, carries Kyushu’s widest selection of men’s and ladies’ John Galliano, lots of John Richmond, and has exclusivity in Japan on up and coming label Julien Macdonald. Claudio travels to Europe four times a year to attend the big shows and select pieces both for his shop and his best customers. Speaking of customers, we heard that more than a few famous people, including actors and actresses from Hakata-za’s stage, have shopped here.
