CICLO Magazine and local friends from Fukuoka, Japan will be taking part in our first ever clean-up event! At the beginning of the month we went to the small island towards the north of the coast of Fukuoka City called Shikanoshima. It has a beautiful shrine, great food, and beautiful nature spots including beaches. At the entrance of the island, the beachside welcomes as you drive through the entrance, but this is the part of the island that was most in need of a clean up. It was filled with a lot of plastic, trash and other miscellaneous items that do not belong in our oceans.

We would like to invite you to join us on Sunday, October 27th for a clean-up event in Shikanoshima Island with special guests, Youtubers Rachel & Jun and Sonnie Travels! We will be using #trashtag during our event to raise awareness about how pollution in our beaches and local neighborhoods is impacting our natural environment! Help us spread the word!
LOCATION: Meet up at Shikanoshima Ferry Terminal coming from Hakata Port
TIME: 10AM-12PM (Clean-up), 12PM-1PM (after clean-up lunch meeting in Shikanoshima)
THINGS TO BRING/PREPARE: Bring two Fukuoka City 45L burnable trash bags and one PET bottle bag per person, gloves and any extra necessary essentials for clean up (water bottle, reef-friendly sunscreen, ect.)
*We ask to help us correctly separate the trash collected. We will be taking care of the trash disposal for you. If you live outside of Fukuoka, please let us know and we can provide you with bags during the clean-up.
DOWNLOAD APP: We will be using the PIRIKA app to log the type of trash picked up during our cleanup so please download it from the links below!

今月の初めに、志賀島と呼ばれる福岡市の海岸の北にある小さな島に行きました。美しい神社、素晴らしい料理、ビーチなどの美しい自然スポットがあります。
島の入り口を通り抜けるとビーチサイドが、来島者を迎えてくれますが、これは島の中で最も掃除が必要な部分です。それはもともと海にあったものではない多くのプラスチック、ゴミ、その他の雑多なアイテムがたくさんありました。

■ 準備するもの
1.福岡市在住の方:福岡市指定の45Lの可燃ごみ袋2個とペットボトル袋1個
2.全員 : 手袋、掃除に必要なその他の必需品（水筒、サンゴ礁に優しい日焼け止めなど）を持参してください
3.全員 : アプリのダウンロード：クリーンアップ中に拾ったゴミの種類を記録するために、アプリ(PIRIKA)を使用しますので、以下のリンクからダウンロードしてください！
