I am an instructor currently living in Fukuoka City with a valid work visa until 2021-07-08. I am interested in teaching positions that are short-term but with consecutive hours/days, such as camps, intensive study courses, and temporary contracts. I would be interested in ALT work if it were not for my visa expiry date.

I was born and raised in Canada, so I speak with native Canadian English accent with excellent command of vocabulary and grammar. I studied architecture in my post-secondary studies and hold JLPT N3.

My teaching experience includes, from most to least recent:
Teaching programming and robotics in a mix of Japanese and English to ES students (Japan)
Teaching English (including leadership) at SHS English camps (Japan)
Teaching and coaching sports to teenagers (Canada)
Teaching English (similar to ALT) in high schools (China)
Producing, organizing, leading, and teaching at English summer camps and study camps for high school students (China)

I am best with older children and young adults (JHS to university) and with learners that have an academic background and/or an intellectual and inquisitive mindset. I prefer to teach via role play or creative and interactive activities, but I can teach effectively from printed materials as well.
