We are looking to hire a bright and positive teacher for Saturday classes at our Yakuin school in the heart of Fukuoka City. The ideal candidate will be someone with a fun/academic mindset, who is seeking a workplace with a calm professional atmosphere.

We offer modern, well-resourced classrooms, an organised curriculum, and pre-planned, yet flexible, English lessons to our customers aged 2 to 80+ years old. Naturally, teachers are encouraged to use their creativity in achieving tangible language learning outcomes for their students.

The basic rate of pay is ¥2,800/hr plus a variety of smaller incentive payments. Reasonable transportation costs are also paid, and there are extra classes such as demo lessons and floating students in addition to your regular fixed classes. Part-time shifts typically yield payments of between ¥8,000 and ¥18,000 JPY.

We are looking for native speakers of English with at least 2 years of teaching experience, and the ability to handle classes ranging from VYLs to TOEIC/IELTS/TOEFL and advanced level adults. Professional and motivated teachers with recognised English language teaching qualifications will be given priority. You will also need a valid visa enabling you to work as an English teacher in Japan.

Schools have a relaxed atmosphere, however teachers are required to dress smartly, in line with the company’s dress-code.
