Thank you for your interest in a teaching position at a Tokyo International School Group franchise campus.

The previous LTE Saturday school teacher has been promoted to a full-time position with us and we are currently looking to hire one TISLTE Saturday School program teacher for a full day (2 classes) at the Ohori campus.

Established in 1985, Tokyo International School Group (TISG) runs Tokyo International School Afterschool (TISAS), Tokyo International School Kindergarten (TISKG), and Tokyo International School Learning Through English (TISLTE) at our Nakameguro, Minami Azabu, Komazawa, Toritsudai, and Gakugeidai model school campuses in Tokyo. We also have franchise schools based in Kachidoki (Chuo-ku), Maruyama (Sapporo), Shukugawa (Kobe), Kofu (Yamanashi), and Ohori (Fukuoka).

The TISLTE Saturday program provides 180-minute length classes once per week to students placed in classes based on their age. The TISLTE program is open to kindergarten and elementary students.

POSITION DETAILS: The TISLTE classes are from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00. The work hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (with a 1-hour break) on Saturday.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are looking for a fun, confident, dedicated, and passionate teacher. Candidates must have a university degree and two years of experience (ideally working with elementary students in Japan).

LOCATION: The school is located near Ropponmatsu station and Befu station on the Jonan line and Tojinmachi station and Nishijin station on the Kuko line.

START DATE: We are looking for someone that can start immediately.

TRAINING: A combination of in-person and online training will take place. The teacher will be paid for their time during training.

COMPENSATION: The wage will be ¥20,000 for the full day. Transportation is reimbursed (up to ¥25,000 per month).

RECRUITMENT PROCESS: TIS Group will screen resumes to ensure that applicants meet the minimum requirements. TIS Group will contact successful candidates to arrange an online interview. We will also ask candidates to send a copy of their residence card, passport, copies of qualifications, and letters of reference. Following the first round of interviews, we will short-list candidates for a trial lesson, which will take place at the Ohori campus. Following the trial lessons, the stakeholders will make a final decision, and TIS Group will arrange with the successful candidate to start as soon as they are available.

We look forward to receiving your application.
