Shane English School Kyushu, the Kyushu franchise of Shane English School Japan, is now inviting applications for a variety of teaching opportunities in its Fukuoka schools. Due to expansion, the following part-time shifts will be coming available between now and April:

Weekday mornings in Yakuin(10:00-12:00)
Tuesdays & Thursdays – Futsukaichi (early afternoon to evening)

The standard starting pay is ¥2,800/hour, depending on your experience/qualifications. The minimum pay is for 2 hours of teaching(¥5,600). There are 44 classes a year.

Shane offers classes that are educational and enjoyable, an organised and easy to follow curriculum for all levels, in an environment where growth as an educator is encouraged and expected. Most lessons are 4-skills general English classes for children or adults. It is important that teachers are comfortable teaching children(potentially as young as two). You may also teach advanced, business and exam English classes. Initial training and detailed lesson guides are provided.

Further requirements:
1)Qualification in TEFL(CELTA/Trinity Tesol or equivalent) preferred
2)At least 2 years teaching experience
3)Genuine native speaker proficiency in English
4)Valid visa/permission to work
5)University degree
6)A willingness to follow the school’s dress-code and other policies
