Kokura Castle, one of the most iconic landmarks of Kitakyushu City, will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its reconstructed main tower with a traditional performance of Takigi Noh (a torchlight performance of Noh.) An outdoor stage will be built in front of the main tower, and a program consisting of shimai dancing, the kyogen “Neongyoku,” and the Noh play “Funabenkei” will be performed. Limited 600 seatings will be available, while more can watch standing. The castle will also be open for extra hours on the day until 20:00.
