Located in Imaizumi, not far from the bustle of Tenjin, is Sangatsu no Mizu, a tiny deli named after the classic bossa nova tune “Waters of March”. Here you can enjoy imported French wines and champagnes and veggie-centric dishes—or get them to-go. Focusing on “the little things,” the husband-and-wife owners Atsushi and Tomoko Sugai serve fully traceable coffee and homemade seasonal fruit syrup (with club soda or hot water). And they make their dishes with vegetables from their very own garden in Itoshima. Great for a quick break or to pick up a healthy lunch on the run.
Menu: Deli plate of the day ¥650, homemade fruit syrup (with club soda) ¥350, herb tea ¥300, specialty coffee ¥400, wine/glass ¥500~, homemade coffee shochu (on the rocks) ¥500
*Foreign language menu: None / Credit cards: Not accepted / Reservations possible / No smoking
