Fukuoka Prefecture officially announced the lifting of business regulations for restaurant and bar businesses as of October 14. The region’s ‘Fukuoka Corona Warning’ would also end on the same day, allowing shops to resume provisions of karaoke facilities from October 15, too. The prefecture asks residents to continue practicing infection prevention measures and to follow business regulations in the future:
• Be mindful of high-risk situations before heading outside.
• Use only restaurants implementing anti-infection measures, including safety-approved shops.
• Follow the basic safety rules; avoid “3Cs”, wear masks, use hand sanitizers, etc.
The latest seven-day average of daily infections in Fukuoka Prefecture stood at 20.7 infections per day, with an occupancy rate of secured hospital beds of 8.0%. The prefecture is eager to prevent another spike of infections while it continues efforts to raise medical preparedness and smoothly conduct vaccinations.
