The city of Wuhan, China will ask the Kyushu Independent Business Consortium for Sustainable Development (KICS), a group of businesses in the environmental industry in Kitakyushu, to participate in a model environmental district construction project. Negotiations between a representative from Wuhan and KICS are expected to begin next week. If the participation comes to fruition, it could be a springboard for Kyushu companies in the environmental sector to establish a presence in China.
