A regular survey conducted by Teikoku Databank for economic sentiment shows that the sentiment in Miyazaki Prefecture in June had declined by 5.8 points according to their metric to fall to the lowest level in the nation. Business throughout Miyazaki has declined due to the foot and mouth epidemic affecting livestock there. Meanwhile, sentiment for the entire Kyushu-Okinawa region was up slightly.
