Aeon Kyushu released its non-consolidated interim report for the term ended August 2009, which showed a 2.7% year-on-year drop in sales to 129.880 billion yen. It was the company’s first revenue decline since its stock exchange listing in 2000. The company cited slumping individual consumption and the long rainy season as the reasons. Aeon Kyushu also posted a current loss of 1.966 billion yen and a net loss of 1.318 billion yen, which are the sixth consecutive annual losses in both categories.
