The heads of the seven leading companies in Fukuoka Prefecture met and agreed unanimously that they will not assume a leadership role in the reconstruction of the company operating the Huis ten Bosch resort in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. At a press conference after the meeting, however, the leaders said they would not rule out providing financial support for an operating company. There have been suggestions that the large Tokyo-based travel agency HIS is interested in becoming involved in HTB operations. The leaders said they would give serious consideration to participation if other companies became interested in forming an operating entity, and if asked to participate by the city of Sasebo.
