Fukuoka Corona Warning – Public Asked to Limit Dining Out Time to Under Two Hours

Reflecting upon the regional spike of COVID-19 infections, the ‘Fukuoka Corona Warning’ was formally issued as of evening on August 5. Local eateries with guest services, bars, and karaoke parlors which fail to implement appropriate coronavirus-prevention measures will be requested to close. Also, the public is asked to spend no longer than two hours eating or drinking out with others and refrain from using restaurants and bars that are not taking the recommended prevention measures. The move reflects prefecture’s intention to avoid a heavy strain on the local medical infrastructure. On August 5, Fukuoka Prefecture reported 123 more cases of the new coronavirus infection. The cumulative total now stands at 2,479. Sources: NHK / NHK
