Fukuoka Has the Sixth-Highest Infection Rate in the Nation

On April 19, local authorities in Fukuoka Prefecture announced 16 more cases of COVID-19 infections and the eleventh death linked to the virus. The cumulative total of infections in Fukuoka Prefecture is now 519. The prefecture currently has the sixth-highest infection rate in the nation (9.8 infections per 100,000 persons,) following regions such as Tokyo (21.5), Ishikawa (15.1) and Osaka (13.2) *as of April 18.
