Fukuoka Prefecture Ends Corona Alert

Today (Oct. 5) is the first time in three months for the prefecture to halt its corona alert. The number of newly infected patients is on a downward trend, and the utilization rate of hospital beds has dropped below 20%. In addition, the prefectural government announced that from tomorrow, the criteria for certification of infection control measures for restaurants would be reduced from 40 items to 32 items. Specifically, based on experts’ opinions, installing acrylic panels on cash registers in restaurants will no longer be necessary. However, Fukuoka Prefecture will continue to call for basic infection control measures such as avoidance of three-density zones, ventilation, and vaccination. It will also continue offering free testing for those concerned about infection. Source: Fukuoka Prefecture / NHK
