The Fukuoka City-based trading company Farmstation Kyushu, in which the prefecture JA branch and local companies have ownership stakes, will begin full-scale exports of the prefecture’s Yame tea. The company shipped 150 kilograms to Germany last year, and this year sent 45 kilograms to Belgium and 300 kilograms to Germany. Next year, they plan to export a ton of tea as they attempt to tap markets in France and Canada.
