The Fukuoka Local Finance Branch Bureau approved the merger of Kishima Shinkin Bank in Takeo, Saga Prefecture, and the Nishikyushu Shinkin Bank in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. This is the first time the bureau has approved the merger of two shinkin banks in Kyushu based in two different prefectures. The new bank will begin business on February 15 as the Kyushu Hizen Shinkin Bank.
