Kitakyushu Air Terminal, the company operating the Kitakyushu Airport, announced plans to enlarge the facility’s freight terminal. The company wants utilize its ability to conduct 24-hour operations to attract more regularly scheduled freight flights and charter flights, and to do that they think the freight handling capabilities need to be upgraded. They plan to invest from 300-400 million yen to double the size of the terminal and hope to finish the work sometime in 2010.
