Kitakyushu City announced participation in research to predict the spread of new coronavirus spread using sewage. The project is being developed by the Japan Society on Water Environment in response to a Yale-University report on the correlation between the number of infected patients and the amount of the virus detected in untreated wastewater. The city will sample sewage four times between Jun. 24 ~ Jul. 15. Source: Nikkei
