Kitakyushu City is preparing to provide free PCR tests at smaller medical facilities. At the same time, the virus tests are currently available at 20 facilities, including a specialized center and other large medical institutions. The new move will allow residents to get tested at their community doctors (or kakaritsuke physicians.) So far, 200 medical clinics have expressed intentions to take part in the program. The city will appropriate a budget of ¥520 million and propose it at the September assembly. Sources: KBC / TNC
