Kyushu Electric Power Co. opened a farming facility to test their smart-agriculture system in growing strawberries. The system is designed to automatically control air conditioning and water products thus reduce the workload of the farmers. The farm, Kamidera Strawberry Farm, is located in Asakura City of Fukuoka Prefecture on a land of approximately 6,500 square meters. The company plans to grow five different brands of strawberries in the facility by the fiscal year of 2021. Source: RKB News, 8/5/2019
