Nagasaki U. Professors Win Gordon Bell Prize


A team of Nagasaki University researchers led by Prof. Tsuyoshi Hamada were awarded the Gordon Bell Prize in the Price/Performance Category by the Association for Computing Machinery at The Supercomputing Conference. The team developed Japan’s fastest supercomputer. It inexpensively conducts high-speed calculations using a commercial graphics processing unit. The award is known as the Nobel Prize of supercomputing.
