On December 7, Fukuoka Prefecture reported 65 new cases of the new coronavirus infection. The daily count exceeded sixty for the first time since the end of August. Fifty-seven of the new instances were found in Fukuoka City, where another cluster hit an elderly-care home (residents between 70~90 years old and care workers; 22 new patients in total) in Minami Ward. The latest weekly count (12/1~12/7) for the prefecture was 299, and the cumulative total reaches 6,125. The prefecture reminds people of the importance of ventilation during the winter.
