The Softbank Group has purchased the Yahoo! Dome in Fukuoka City from GIC Real Estate of Singapore for 87 billion yen, it was learned. The stadium is the home park of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks, which are owned by one of the group’s companies. The objective was to reduce the fees paid for the use of the dome, improve the baseball team’s profitability, and further integrate the management of the team.
