Summer Bonus Paid to Public Servants – Ogawa Gov. and Mayors of Fukuoka and Kitakyushu Cut Their Bonus

Summer bonuses were paid to local civil servants on June 30. The average bonus for Fukuoka Prefecture stands at ¥808,498 (-1.2% compared to the year before; 43 year-old administrative position,) while that of Fukuoka City is ¥828,000 (+1%; 40 year-old administrative position.) To fill the budget gap due to the impact of the new coronavirus spread, mayors of Fukuoka City and Kitakyushu City cut their bonuses. The prefectural governor also reduced his bonus by 20%.
