Shinkamigoto-cho and Ojika-cho, located on two islands in the Goto chain in Nagasaki Prefecture, are working together to launch a joint call center and Internet portal site to provide tourism information and to sell specialty products. A group of churches in Shinkamigoto-cho was placed on the provisional list of World Heritage Sites, and the lodgings at Ojika-cho have become popular among tourists. The objective of the joint effort is to boost tourism to the islands.
